A good example of a private luxury plane is the Cessna Citation X! This jet has a maximum cruising speed of 607 mph and a maximum operating speed of 617 mph. In 2012, the model was upgraded to the X+, which has more range and all the speed of its predecessor. Cessna calls it the world’s fastest civilian aircraft and the most luxurious aircraft interiors, and the numbers support that claim.
The rivals of Cessna in the luxury and private plane sector is Gulfstream, another top aviation company, whose crown jewel is the G500 and the longer-range G600. The G500, which has a range of more than 5,750 miles, is expected to enter service later this year. The G600, which can fly more than 7,130 miles nonstop, will follow the G500 into service. They are both excellent planes.
