Restaurant interior design by Kokaistudios – Kokaistudios is a firm of architecture and interior design found in 2000 in Venice by two Italian architects Filippo Gabbiani and Andrea Destefanis. In 2002 they changed their headquarters to Shanghai. Despite the main offices being in China, they are a worldwide firm that works on projects in Asia, Middle East, America and Europe.
They have a team of 60 multicultural workers and the firm main aim is to “develop projects that add positively to the built environment and social fabric of the cities and countries in which they are located.”
Andrea Destefanis was born in Turin, Italy and after graduation, in Architecture, he started work in various large firms and even took part in award-winning projects. Filippo Gabbiani was born in Venice ãnd upon graduating from the University of Architecture Venice, he began work on a European Community sponsored research project.

Cloud Bistro was completed in 2020 and it is located on the western bank of the city’ Huangpu river. To assure that every client enjoys the view, they arrange both low and high seatings. In this project, we have no clear concept of what’s inside or outside, architecture or river, art or eating space.

Completed in 2017, it is described as “An Asian signature restaurant overlooking the Persian Gulf”. It is located on the top floor of the four seasons hotel Kuwait and alongside the amazing 12 meters high ceiling, it offers a pretty good view of the Persian Gulf. This project main goal was to create a space that could elevate, celebrate and represent Asian cuisine and to do that they took inspiration from Chinese history and their influence through Asia.

This project was finished in 2017 and it’s the first close-up magic bar in China. This interior design combines two concepts that normally wouldn’t go hand to hand: magic and mixology. Kokaistudios was able to create in an innovative way a place where people can enjoy magic shows and at the same time have a drink.

This luxury interior design space was completed in 2016. It offers the client’s soul music with beverage and eating experience. Of course, the designers took inspiration in soul music and also the 60´s decade in New York. As we walk into this space, we feel a sense of going into the past.

This space is a grill house brand concept and the design was made to be simple yet sophisticated.

“From a Chinese cookbook” is the way to describe this magical space. This acclaimed restaurant was designed to balance the modern and classic like yin and yang. Kokaistudios thought everything in detail and even the furniture was made by scratch giving it an extra look.

“An Italian eatery designed with the Hong Kong market in mind” is the perfect description for this restaurant located in Hong Kong. The main pieces here are the two large pizza ovens and the restaurant interior design was made so that the clients could share food like the Italians and at the same time like Hong Kong.

Kokaistudios was responsible to redesign this amazing and large space that was considered a UNESCO award project. Mr&Mrs Bund was completed in 2015 and was their first project in China. It is a high-end restaurant but it was designed so that there are no strict norms where people can at the same time have a relaxing lunch and at dinner time have a more formal one.

This modern steakhouse was completed in 2014 and is located in IAPM mall. The interior design concept is a modern restaurant with a simple atmosphere but that offers good quality.
10.Restaurant interior design styles that will take your breath away by Kokaistudios-Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto “Brasserie”|Kyoto
Kokaistudios obtain inspiration through Japan’s culture and turn this space into an open concept that connects the inside space with nature. The restaurant was designed so that it could serve three different functions namely a lounge area, a central bar and a banquet counter and a more private dining area.
